Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government code, and pursuant to the City’s Economic Development Policy, with Cheryl Kokkinis of Kokkinis Properties, LLC, owner of property located at 1101 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant, in the amount of $4,150.
Background:
Cheryl Kokkinis of Kokkinis Properties, LLC is requesting a $4,150 façade improvement matching grant for improvements to the property located at 1101 Keller Parkway. The total estimated cost of all facade improvements is $12,580 and $8,300 of that total are eligible for the grant under the City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant Policy.
Façade Improvements for Reimbursement include replacing the awnings, clean and update refuse area, updating monument sign, painting light poles and installing LED lights and painting fences, gutters, and doors.
Financial Impact:
The remaining program budget for FY 2018-19 is $27,957.50. If all façade improvement matching grant requests on this agenda are approved, the remaining budget would be $8,807.50.
Citizen Input/Board Review:
The Keller Economic Development Board voted 6-0 to recommend approval at the July 15, 2019 meeting. Board member, Greg Kocian, recused himself from the vote due to a potential conflict of interest.
Legal Review:
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the proposed Chapter 380 Agreement.
