Consider a resolution approving the purchase of concrete lifting and stabilization services from Nortex Concrete Lift and Stabilization Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas, through an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Grand Prairie, Texas, dated October 7, 2008, for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents related thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the purchase of concrete lifting and stabilization services in an amount not to exceed $100,000 from Nortex Concrete Lift and Stabilization of Fort Worth, Texas through the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Grand Prairie, Texas.
Background:
The City of Keller entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Grand Prairie on October 7, 2008 (Resolution No. 2741) for cooperative purchasing of various goods, materials, equipment, and supplies.
The City of Grand Prairie has entered into a contract with Nortex Concrete Lift and Stabilization of Fort Worth, Texas, for lifting, stabilizing and under sealing of concrete pavement that is needed over the next twelve (12) month period. These services provide for the most cost efficient repairs of sunken or damaged concrete sections without the expense of completely removing and replacing limited areas of streets, sidewalks, trails and other concrete structures.
City staff has reviewed and determined that the bid from Nortex Concrete Lift and Stabilization of Fort Worth, Texas for the City of Grand Prairie provides for the lowest and most responsible unit prices for such services and recommends the purchase of concrete lifting and stabilization services in an amount not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) on an as needed basis over the next twelve (12) months.

The project will be funded from the General Fund - Public Works Department fiscal year 2019-20 approved budget.
