Consider a resolution approving Amendment #1 to the Agreement for Professional Services with Peloton Land Solutions of Fort Worth, Texas; for the purpose of providing engineering design, relating to the US 377 Sanitary Sewer Extension for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving Amendment #1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Peloton Land Solutions for the design of US 377 Sanitary Sewer Extension in the amount of $30,000.00.
Background:
Peloton Land Solutions had previously been hired to provide a conceptual layout and alignment of the sanitary sewer line east of US 377 and north of Johnson Road. That Agreement for Professional Services, in the amount of $122,500.00 was approved by City Council at the August 15, 2017 meeting. City Council approved a second Agreement for Professional Services, in the amount of $76,800.00, at the May 7, 2019 meeting to complete the design and prepare construction plans and specifications. The current design shows a section of sanitary sewer within TxDOT US 377 right of way due to the unavailability of an easement on a specific property. Staff has recently reached an agreement for an easement on this property, which eliminates the need for this portion of sanitary sewer to be constructed in TxDOT right of way. The overall design fee of $229,300.00 ($122,500.00 in the first agreement plus $76,800.00 in the second agreement plus $30,000 in this amendment) is within the $600,000.00 budget included in the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Capital Improvements Program.
Financial Impact:
Funding is included in the Water-Wastewater System Capital Improvement Program fund with funding provided by the Water-Wastewater Utility Fund.
