Consider a resolution confirming the selection by Judge Sara Jane del Carmen of Jacey Hornecker as Associate Judge of the City of Keller Municipal Court, effective June 16, 2020.
Background:
Judge del Carmen’s agreement requires her to obtain the services of an Associate Judge(s). Associate Judge Duong has reduced her hours, and Judge del Carmen has hired a new magistrate to assist. Judge del Carmen is presenting Ms. Hornecker for approval. Ms. Hornecker is completing her probationary period with Judge del Carmen, has been licensed since 2013, and is in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas State University in 2002, Master of Science Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2005, and received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from St. Mary’s University in 2012.
Financial Impact:
No budget impact to current or future budgets. All compensation due the Associate Judge will be paid by Judge del Carmen.
