Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Agreement, pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code, and pursuant to the City’s Economic Development Policy, with Albert “Trey” Grant III of The Well Church Keller, owner of property located at 129 Pecan Street, Keller, TX 76248 for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant, in the amount of $4,094.19.
Background:
Albert “Trey” Grant III, Pastor of The Well Church Keller is requesting a $4,094.19 façade improvement matching grant for improvements to the property located at 129 Pecan Street. The total estimated cost of all façade improvements is $8,188.38.
Façade improvements include painting the building white and placing signage on the front of the building.
Financial Impact:
The remaining program budget for the Fiscal Year 2019-20 is $25,850.00. If approved, the remaining budget would be $21,755.81.
Citizen Input/Board Review:
The Keller Economic Development Board voted 5-0 to recommend approval, with an amendment to payment terms, allowing the Grantee to receive reimbursement prior to satisfying current fire code requirements. The Fire Marshal has previously granted the Applicant a grace period in satisfying this requirement until February 28, 2021, however ther Applicant wishes to complete the Façade Improvements in July 2020 and seek reimbursement immediately.
Legal Review:
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the proposed Chapter 380 Agreement.
