Consider a resolution approving the construction bid from Reytech Services of Weatherford, Texas; for the Atascosa Drive Drainage Improvements project for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the construction bid from Reytech Services of Weatherford, Texas for the Atascosa Drive Drainage Improvements project in the amount of $107,086.79.
Background:
This project, which is included in the 5 Year Capital Improvements Program, is designed to address ground water issues surfacing out to Atascosa Drive. The combination of hills and near constant ground water flow has led to algae growth on the sidewalk and street. The street drain will be installed under the pavement and is expected to capture enough ground water and direct it to the storm drain system to prevent it from surfacing in the street and sidewalks.
Nine (9) qualifying sealed bids were received on October 21, 2020. A bid summary is attached showing the bid amounts. City staff has reviewed the low bidder’s qualifications, bonding capacity and references and recommends Reytech Services of Weatherford, Texas be awarded the bid in the amount of $107,086.79 with construction to be completed within sixty (60) calendar days.
Financial Impact:
Funding is included in the Street System Capital Improvement Fund with funding provided from the Street Maintenance Fund.
