Title

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of four (4) Stryker Power-Pro XT Cots, to include a seven-year service agreement, from Stryker Corporation of Kalamazoo, Michigan, for the Emergency Medical Services Division of the Fire Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all purchase documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Action Requested:

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of four (4) replacement Stryker Power-Pro XT ambulance cots, to include a seven-year service agreement, at a total cost of $87,674.60.

Background:

The Fire Department’s current cots are 10 to 14 years old and have reached the end of their useful life. Two of the four current cots are 2007 models and Stryker will no longer provide a contract for preventative maintenance. The new Power-Pro XT Cots will improve patient comfort and have an anticipated 10-14 year service life.

Financial Impact:

The cost of the equipment and 7-year ProCare Power-Pro Prevent Service agreement is $87,674.60. Funding is available in the Ambulance Cost Settlement Reimbursement Fund in the Public Safety Special Revenue Fund.
