Consider a resolution approving the construction bid from ANA Site Construction, LLC, of Pilot Point, Texas; for the US 377 Waterline Improvement Project for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the construction bid from ANA Site construction, LLC of Pilot Point, Texas for the US 377 Waterline Improvement Project in the amount of $888,629.00.
Background:
The City’s Capital Improvements Program (CIP) contains this project to upgrade the overall water distribution system by increasing capacity and looping the western portion of the upper pressure plane. The Public Works Department further verified the need for this project with the recently completed water system modeling update. The lines included in this project are on US 377 from Johnson Road to Lorine Street and from Pecan Street to Bear Creek Parkway.
The project will replace and expand approximately 2900 lineal feet of water main to 12” lines by various methods of construction such as open trenching and horizontal directional drilling. The work also includes water service replacements and associated asphalt and concrete pavement repair. Two Location Maps for the project are included in the agenda packet.
Thirteen (13) qualifying sealed bids were received on March 10, 2021. A bid summary is attached showing the bid amounts. City staff has reviewed the low bidder’s qualifications, bonding capacity and references and recommends ANA Site Construction, LLC of Pilot Point, Texas be awarded the bid in the amount of $888,629.00 with construction to be completed within 150 calendar days.
Financial Impact:
Funding is included in the Water-Wastewater System Capital Improvement Project Fund with funding provided from the Water-Wastewater Operating fund and Water Impact Fee fund.
