Title

Consider approval of a Final Plat for Lot 1R, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X, Block A of the Milestone Church Addition, located on 51.21-acres, on the north side of Mount Gilead Road, approximately 1,200 feet east from the Mount Gilead Road and North Main Street (HWY 377) intersection, addressed as 201 and 301 Mount Gilead Road, and zoned PD-SF-15 and PD-PH-6.5. Milestone Church, Owner. Halff Associates, Applicant. (P-21-0013) Body

Background:

The subject property was originally platted in October 2015 as Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block A of the Milestone Church Addition.

In October 2015, the City approved and issued the building permit for the 74,262 square-foot sanctuary, and the Church received their certificate of occupancy in July 2017.

The purpose of this replat is to subdivide the property to encompass the Church as one lot and conservation easements by separate lots. As part of the planned expansion of the sanctuary, Milestone Church master-planned their site for potential build out. As part of that plan, the Church agrees to dedicate 5.10 acres as the City’s first conservation easements. Additionally, the conservation easements will still be owned and maintained by the Church.

Summary:

The Applicant has met all requirements of the UDC for this Minor Subdivision Plat application.

Planning and Zoning Commission Alternatives:
