Title

Consider a resolution rejecting all proposals for the sale of city-owned property at 541 Keller Parkway, for the Economic Development Department; and authorizing the City Manager to re-propose the project on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Body

Action Requested:

Reject all proposals for the property sale of city-owned property at 541 Keller Parkway received on November 14, 2022 and re-propose the project.

Background:

On October 27, 2022, the City of Keller Economic Development Department received proposals for a duly advertised request for proposals for the sale of city-owned property at 541 Keller Parkway. On November 14, 2022, city staff received one (1) response to the advertisement; however, during the course of negotiating specific requirements of the project, the proposer requested that the City consider the sale of additional property to the north of the subject property. The request was brought to the attention of the council and received support at the February 7th meeting.  As a result, City staff recommends that the City Council reject the proposal and re-propose the project.
